About TransTec F&E Vetschau GmbH

Around 130 employees faced the daily challenge of developing and manufacturing high-quality products for the company's customers. True to the company philosophy "The future lies on the rails", TransTec F&E Vetschau GmbH successfully continued its 150-year engineering tradition.

Bogies developed and built in Vetschau are used worldwide in a wide variety of rail vehicles, such as streetcars, underground and suburban trains, high-speed trains, passenger trains, service vehicles, freight wagons and rail buses. In addition to the traditional manufacture of bogies, the company expanded its range of products to include the production of assemblies and components for industrial use and offered a wide range of services in the field of steel construction.

Supply chain problems and rising energy costs caused the TransTec plant in Vetschau am Spreewald to stumble and file for insolvency at the end of 2022.
