Greenfield Industrial GmbH receives TOP 100 award

Greenfield Industrial GmbH - Hamburg 01.02.2024

The Hamburg-based industrial trading company Greenfield Industrial has been awarded the TOP 100 Seal 2024 for its innovative strength. The award is presented annually on behalf of compamedia and is aimed at medium-sized companies that can demonstrate outstanding innovative performance. The science journalist and competition mentor Ranga Yogeshwar personally presents the management of Greenfield Industrial with congratulations on their win during the award ceremony on June 28 in Weimar.

On behalf of compamedia GmbH, a team led by innovation researcher Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke from the Vienna University of Economics and Business examined the innovative strength of all participants on the basis of over 100 criteria from five different categories. These categories include a conducive top management for innovation, the climate for innovation within the company, innovative processes and organizational structures, external orientation and open innovation, as well as success in implementing innovations. "Are companies able to create new products, new services, new processes and new business models? And are these achievements just coincidences or the result of a structured and targeted approach? These are the questions we examine at TOP 100," says Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke, explaining the TOP 100 evaluation process. Particular attention is also paid to the question of how successfully innovations and product improvements have been able to assert themselves on the market (further information on the test criteria is available at www.top100.de/pruefkriterien ).

Greenfield Industrial GmbH was successful in the scientific selection process and received the award as a top innovator. The industrial trading company is not only characterized by its pure trading activities, but also offers individual solution concepts for business liquidations, insolvency or liquidity bridging. It places a particular focus on rapid and flexible cooperation with its customers. This is achieved through short decision-making paths and innovative processes within the team.

In the midst of the current challenges facing small and medium-sized companies in Germany, Greenfield Industrial is proving to be a valuable partner for its customers. "The time factor is becoming increasingly critical with issues such as a shortage of skilled workers, supply chain problems or rising raw material costs. If a company is facing liquidity bottlenecks or has already filed for insolvency, it is extremely important to be able to offer quick solutions. Whether through the purchase of redundant machinery, the takeover of entire businesses or the acquisition of real estate for re-letting to the original owner, we can make an offer within days of inspection. This is made possible by a well-functioning, cross-departmental collaboration with short decision-making paths," says Ron Alexander, Managing Director of Greenfield Industrial GmbH.

The TOP 100 seal is awarded to companies in three size categories: up to 50, 51 to 200 and more than 200 employees. In the 31st edition of the innovation competition, 388 SMEs applied for the award. 287 were successful and will bear the TOP 100 seal from February 1, 2024. A maximum of 100 companies per size category can be awarded.
On June 28, all top innovators of the 2024 class will gather for the award ceremony as part of the German SME Summit at the "congress centrum weimarhalle".
